Jackie

Owner of Design Visage

Hi there! I'm Jackie Hanson, a former Design Visage bride, proud wifey + momma of 3, fitness junkie, & huge kid at heart. I love getting my hair and makeup done and dressing up in heels for a good date night with the hubs, but you can also find me finding joy heading to the trampoline park in my workout clothes for some good ol' fun with my kiddos. Life is all about that balance right?!?

Never in my wildest dreams did I think in 2012, the decision to hire hair and makeup for my wedding day, would be life-changing for me. We had a full day for the team; with 27, yes 27, hair and makeup services! It was a tall order, and the DV team executed it without a hitch! Not only did I look my best (can they doll me up every day?!) but I FELT my absolute best. On a morning that could be stressful, I felt calm, excited, and stress-free, and I enjoyed every single minute of that morning. At that moment, I knew there was something so very special about Design Visage.

Fast forward to 2016, Caren Lazarus, DV’s brilliant founder, my mentor, and great friend, chose me to take over her baby, DV! It was a great honor to inherit such an established business, led by a group of talented artists and like-minded women. I wake up feeling very grateful each and every day. Someone, please pinch me!

Athena

Her years of Management, Customer Service, and Sales experience lend her to have a well-rounded ability to tackle all aspects of her role here at Design Visage. Her desire to help others, share knowledge and improve operations has helped improve DV’s overall performance which has resulted in countless happy brides and clients!
Those closest to her would describe Athena as a creative, determined, generous, and energetic person. When she is not working you can find her outdoors enjoying a stroll with her dog Chloe.
Fun Fact; She was born the day before Valentine’s Day, so it is safe to say she loves love and seeks to make every bride’s special day just a bit more magical!

Marley

Marley has worked in the health and wellness industry for over a decade, specializing in both group fitness instruction and administrative work. She has always loved the beauty industry and considers it such a privilege to work at Design Visage as one of the studio managers, helping clients to see their hair and makeup vision brought to life for their Big Day!
Outside of work, you can find Marley spending time with her wonderful son, and staying active by taking yoga and pilates classes. She loves being outside in nature, going to church and enjoying quality time with friends and family.

KT

KT is a seasoned Advertising and Marketing specialist who has over seventeen years of experience in the real estate industry. She is an OC native and has always been completely amazed by the artistry and creativity of hair and makeup design. Being a part of the management team at Design Visage has allowed her to use her business background and organizational skills to support the DV Artists in ways that has been so fulfilling and fun!
KT is a real-life minimalist with a heart for adventure. When she’s not working, you will find her with her mini Australian shepherd, working out, reading her book of the month, creating art, watching interior design and makeup tutorials on Youtube, or collecting memories with friends and family!

Her-story & the one who created it all

Meet Caren Lazarus, the founder of this amazing company. Her story began with a talent for makeup and a background in marketing and business. In 1985, she began working in Marketing Division for Clinique, helping the girls behind the counter with the art of suggestive selling. With floods of requests for on-site bridal beauty services from dozens of brides, the seed for the first on-site Bridal Hair and Makeup Company was born, as we know and love today as Design Visage.

Caren recruited and trained the best of the best artists in the industry, and built relationships with countless wedding professionals and venues to get Design Visage to be one of the most prominent bridal beauty companies in California. She has been a huge part of changing not only the lives of countless brides but also colleagues and artists that have been part of the DV Family throughout the years. For that, we are forever grateful to her.

She will forever be Design Visage.
